आनन्दमयकोशः कीदृशः
इष्टवस्तुदर्शनेन उत्पन्ना प्रियवृत्तिः तस्य शिरः। इष्टवस्तुलाभेन उत्पन्ना मोदवृत्तिः तस्य दक्षिणः पक्षः। इष्टवस्तुभोगेन उत्पन्ना प्रमोदवृत्तिः तस्य वामपक्षः। बुद्धिः अज्ञानवृतिरूपा आत्मस्वरूपभूतानन्दस्य प्रतिबिम्बः यस्य स्वरूपम्। बिम्बरूपात्मनः स्वरूपभूतानन्दः यस्य पुच्छं (आधारः)। इयं पक्षिरूपः भोक्ता आनन्दमयकोशः।
Describe the ānandamaya kośa
The priya vr̥tti is the head that arises from seeing the desired object. The moda vr̥tti is the right side that arises from obtaining the desired object. The pramoda vr̥tti is the left side that arises from enjoying the desired object. It’s nature is the reflection of the ātmasvarūpānanda in the buddhi or ajñāna. The source of the ātma which is one’s own nature is it’s tail (underlying base). Thus the bhoktā bird is the ānandamaya kośa.
