आन्ध्यं मान्द्यं तीक्ष्णबुद्धिता नाहं न मम इति कथं ज्ञेयम्
नेत्रेन्द्रियेण विषयग्रहणाभावे आन्ध्यं यद्द्रष्ट्राऽहम्। विषयस्य स्वल्पग्रहणे मान्द्यं यद्द्रष्टाऽहम्। विषयस्य स्पष्टग्रहणे पाटवं यद्द्रष्टाऽहम्। अतः नाहं तन्न तन्मम। इन्द्रियधर्माः इमानि। अहं तद्द्रष्टा घटद्रष्टृवत् तद्विलक्षणः। अनया रीत्या अहं सूक्ष्मदेहस्य द्रष्टा।
how do I know that I am not the dharmas of the intellect
I witness the blindness when the eyes are unable to grasp object. I witness the dullness when the eyes are uanble to fully grasp objects. I witness the clarity with which the eyes fully grasp objects. Thus, I a not them, and am different from them. These qualities belong to the senses. I am their witness as I witness a pot and am different from them. In this way, I am the witness of the sūkṣma deha.
