अत्र को दृष्टान्तः
दृष्टान्तः – यथा नृत्यशालास्थिताः दीपः राजा मन्त्री अनुचराः नायिका, वादयित्र्यः, सभ्याश्च सन्ति। यत्सत्त्वे प्रकाश्यते। यदभावे शून्यशाला प्रकाश्यते।
दार्ष्टान्तः – एवं स्थूलदेहरूपा नृत्यशाला, साक्षीरूपः दीपः, चिदाभासरूपः राजा, मनोरूपो मन्त्री, प्राणपञ्चकरूपाः अनुचराः, बुद्धिरूपा नायिका, दशेन्द्रियरूपा वादयित्र्यः, शब्दादिपञ्चविषयरूपाः सभ्याः इति जाग्रति स्वप्ने तत्सत्त्वे अहं भामि, सुषुप्तौ तदभावे अहं भामि।
what is an example of this
An example – In a dance hall there is a lamp, king, minister, attendants, actress, musicians and an audience. We see all of these in their presence. We also see their absence when they are absent.
In the same way, the dance hall is the gross body, the lamp is the sākṣī, the king is the cidābhāsa, the minister is the manas, the attendents are the prāṇas, actress is the buddhi, 10 sense organs are the musicians and the sense objects are the audience. In the jāgrat and svapna states, I shine. In their absence in the suṣupti state, I shine.
