स्थूलशरीरं किम्
पञ्चीकृतपञ्चमहाभूतैः कृतं सत् कर्मजन्यं सुखदुःखभोगायतनं, अस्ति जायते वर्धते विपरिणमते अपक्षीयते विनश्यतीति षड्भावविकारैर्युक्तं यत् तत्स्थूलशरीरम्।

The sthūla śarīra is composed of the pañcīkr̥ta mahābhūtas, is the result of karma and is the abode of bhogas such as sukha and dukha. It has the six vikāras – to exist, to be born, to grow, to change, to decay and to perish.
