१ – सुखं + नित्यम्
स्वस्वरूपं सुखं + नित्यम् – सुखस्य नित्यत्वविशेषणानुपादाने वैषयिके सामये सुखे चातिव्याप्तिः।
ātmā is sukha (bliss); ātmā is nitya (eternal). By remembering that our svarūpa sukha is nitya, we realize that it is not vaiṣayika sukha (happiness through objects), and it is not sāmaya sukha (happiness bound by time).
