॥ॐ गुरुपरमात्मने नमः॥
असंभावना (asambhāvanā)
असंभवस्य ज्ञानं द्विविधम्
- प्रमाणगता असंभावना – वेदगतस्य असंभवस्य ज्ञानम्।
- प्रमेयगता असंभावना – प्रमाणविषयः मोक्षादिः, तद्गतस्य असंभवस्य ज्ञानम्।
“वेदान्ते जीवब्रह्माभेदः प्रतिपाद्यते न वा” इति प्रमाणगतसंशयः। “जीवब्रह्मणोरभेदः सत्यो न वा” इति प्रमेयगतसंशयः। अयं द्विविधोऽपि संशयः असंभावना इति कथ्यते।

Doubt is two-fold.
- Doubt in the pramāṇa (means) takes the form “does vedānta teach the non-difference of jīva and brahman, or not?”
- Doubt in the prameya (conclusion) takes the form “is the non-difference of jīva and brahman true, or not?”
